A little clarity about your data
Most of what you do on Lavmio never leaves your computer. This page explains the three exceptions — optional analytics, the optional feedback form, and the ordinary request logs any web host keeps — and how to withdraw permission.
Short version
- Files and text you use in a tool are processed in your browser. They are not uploaded to us.
- No account, sign-in or profile is created anywhere on the site.
- Analytics are optional and load only after you allow them. Your choice is stored for six months.
- The feedback form is optional and opens in a separate window. Email is optional too.
- There is no advertising on Lavmio today, and no advertising or cross-site tracking script is installed.
Tool inputs
Lavmio's tools are client-side utilities. When you choose a CSV, an image or a subtitle file, or when you paste text into a field, that content is read by JavaScript running in your browser and stays in your browser's memory. It is not sent to a Lavmio server, not written to a database, and not visible to us. Nothing is saved between visits unless a tool says otherwise.
Two cases are worth naming explicitly. A few tools keep settings on your device when you ask them to — for example, saving a campaign preset stores it in your browser's local storage, and you can delete it inside that tool. And the image tool works with compressed image data in memory, so very large batches may be limited by your device's available memory rather than by us.
Because tool input never reaches us, we cannot recover a file you forgot to download, and we cannot inspect the contents of a result you think is wrong. Export anything you want to keep before closing the tab.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 on the official lavmio.com domains to understand which pages are visited and which tools are actually used. It is disabled until you allow it. If you decline or ignore the prompt, no analytics request is made and no analytics cookie is set.
When enabled, the measurement covers visits, approximate location derived from IP, device and browser information, and tool actions such as completing a task or downloading a result. It does not receive the contents of your working files, your pasted text, your filenames, or the answers you type into the feedback form. Page query strings and URL fragments are excluded before any hit is sent, referrer paths are stripped, and we disable Google's advertising features and its automatic form and link tracking.
Your allow-or-decline choice is stored for six months and shared across the Lavmio sites you visit. Google's analytics cookies also expire after six months. Preview addresses (*.pages.dev) do not run analytics at all.
Google processes this measurement data as a service provider. For how Google handles information from sites that use its services, see Google's partner sites notice.
Feedback form
The feedback button opens a form hosted by Tally in a separate window. The form loads nothing until you open it. When you submit it, Tally receives what you typed, the name of the page or tool you were using, and standard connection information such as your IP address and browser type.
Your email address is optional. Include it only if you would like a reply, and only if you are comfortable receiving one. Completed responses are stored in our Tally account and forwarded to a feedback inbox. We use them to investigate problems, improve the tools, and answer questions. We do not use them for marketing and we do not sell them.
Please do not send passwords, confidential documents, personal data about other people, or files you are not entitled to share. Tool files are never attached automatically. For Tally's own handling, see Tally's privacy policy ↗.
Cookies and local storage
Lavmio sets no cookies of its own. Two kinds of storage can exist, and both are tied to choices you make:
- Analytics cookies — set only after you allow analytics, and they expire after six months. Declining means none are created.
- Your consent preference — a small entry in local storage recording whether you allowed or declined analytics, kept for six months so you are not asked on every page. It contains no identifier that follows you to other websites.
- Tool presets — created only when a tool offers a save action and you use it. Removing them inside the tool, or clearing site data in your browser, deletes them.
You can also clear or block all of this from your browser's site-data settings. Blocking analytics does not affect any tool — every utility keeps working with analytics declined.
Hosting and ordinary logs
Lavmio is served as a static site through Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes ordinary request information — IP address, requested path, user agent, timestamp — in order to deliver pages, cache them and defend against abuse. This happens whether or not you allow analytics. We do not combine those request records with analytics data to identify individuals.
Advertising
There is no advertising on Lavmio today. No advertising script, no advertising cookie, and no third-party ad network is loaded on any page. If advertising is introduced in future, this policy will be rewritten first — naming the network, describing what it collects and why, and setting out the consent mechanism that applies in regions that require one. We will not describe the site as ad-free after ads have been added.
Retention
Analytics data is retained according to the retention period configured in the Google Analytics property. Feedback responses have no automatic deletion schedule: they remain in Tally and in the feedback inbox until they are no longer needed, and you can ask us to delete one at any time. Tool input and generated results are never stored by us, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete.
Your choices and rights
You can change or withdraw your analytics choice at any time using the analytics control in the site footer; withdrawing stops any further measurement. You can also ask us to correct or delete a feedback message you sent. Depending on where you live, you may have further rights over personal data — to access it, to object to its processing, or to lodge a complaint with a local data protection authority. We will respond to reasonable requests made through the feedback form.
Because we hold almost nothing, most requests resolve quickly: the usual answer is that the only record of you is an analytics visit that cannot be tied back to an individual, or a feedback message you can identify by its approximate date and topic.
Children
Lavmio is a general-audience site about tools, science, cultural collections and classic books. It is not directed at children under 13, does not knowingly collect personal information from them, and requires no account from anyone.
Changes to this policy
When this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes — a new third-party service, a new category of data, or the introduction of advertising — will be described in the change itself rather than quietly folded into the existing text.
Contact
Privacy questions, correction requests and deletion requests all go through the same form. State what you need and, if it concerns a message you sent, roughly when you sent it.
