Conditions of use
These terms cover the browser tools and the guide collections on Lavmio. They are short because the site is simple: you use the tools at your own discretion, you keep the rights to what you process, and material we link to stays under someone else's terms.
Using the site
By using Lavmio you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site. No account is created and no registration is required, so there is nothing to cancel and nothing to close.
These terms apply to the pages served from lavmio.com and its subdomains. Individual tools may state additional limits and supported formats on their own pages; those statements form part of these terms for that tool.
Tool output is provided without warranty
Every tool is offered as-is, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. The tools are deliberately narrow utilities, not certified instruments, and their output has not been validated for any regulated, safety-critical, financial, medical or legal use.
Check your results before relying on them. A cleaned CSV can still be wrong if its input was; a resized image can still be unsuitable for print; a validating checker can still miss a problem it was never designed to detect. Where a tool reports a warning, read it. Where a tool states a limit, assume the limit is real.
Because processing happens in your browser, results depend on your device, browser version and available memory. A batch that succeeds on one machine may fail on another, and no tool is guaranteed to complete any particular task.
Your content stays yours
You keep all rights in the files, text and settings you bring to a tool, and in the results you export. We claim no licence over them. We cannot inspect them, and in normal operation we never receive them.
You are responsible for having the right to process what you process. Do not use the tools on material you are not permitted to handle, and do not use them to circumvent a licence, a copyright notice or an access control.
Third-party sources and their terms
The guide collections link to records published by other organisations, including the NASA Image and Video Library, the Library of Congress, and Project Gutenberg. Those organisations own or administer their material and apply their own terms of use, credit requirements and rights statements. A link from Lavmio is not a grant of any right in the linked material, and it is not a statement that the material is free of restrictions in your jurisdiction.
Where a record carries a rights note, read it on the original page before reusing anything. Public-domain status is frequently territorial: an item that is public domain in one country may still be protected in another. Descriptions on Lavmio are written to help you read the source record, not to replace its credit line or its rights statement.
The names of those organisations are used descriptively. Lavmio is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them.
Acceptable use
Please do not attempt to disrupt the site, probe it for vulnerabilities without permission, or use automated requests at a volume that degrades service for other visitors. Do not present Lavmio's guide text as your own editorial work, and do not imply that Lavmio has reviewed, certified or endorsed a product, a claim or a dataset.
Availability
The site is provided free of charge and without any service-level commitment. Pages may change, move or be withdrawn, and a tool may be altered or retired. Because there are no accounts, there is no stored work of yours on our side that a change could destroy — but anything you have not exported exists only in your browser, and closing the tab ends it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Lavmio and the people who maintain it are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for lost data, lost profit or business interruption, arising from the use of or inability to use the site or its tools. Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the site, which is nothing.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits any right you have under mandatory consumer protection law in your own country, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
These terms may be updated as the site changes. The date at the top of the page will change with each revision. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.
